Why has someone posted mens underpants through my letter box

NC for this one.

Arrived home after a couple of days away, struggled to get in the door with bags and realised something was getting stuck under the door. Eventually managed to get in and found a pair of grey mens XL underpants had been stuffed through the letterbox.

I am not a man. No men live here. The underpants are not new, were not packaged, but luckily seem to be clean.

Can anyone help solve this mystery please? All my friends just keep laughing.

Our local FB group is awash with posts about 'found' bank cards, mittens, glasses etc. The posters always say that they've left them at the cafe if anyone wants to pop in to claim them.
Why don't you do that with the pants? Then stake out the cafe to see who meanders along to retrieve them.

The owner will be round later , naked, with a rose between his teeth. Lucky girl!!!

I bet they blew off someone’s washing line and somehow ended up in your garden so the postie posted them through.

Someone put a fork through mine once. Just a big standard fork. It was pretty weird!

Teenagers doing dares?

They were in your front garden and someone thought they would save you any potential embarrassment by shoving them through your letterbox? Or potentially, some kind of weirdo.

I once found a pair of men's underpants actually in my house. Me and my sister lived there, with DH ( only just got together then) working away,so only home at weekends.
We were the first occupants, so they couldn't have come from behind a radiator,or left behind by previous tenants. 25 years on,we still haven't solved that particular mystery.

When we were students, 200 years ago, we did something silly amongst our group of friends and would send random things in the post to each other - no packaging or envelopes, just write the address and stick a stamp directly on to the item being sent and then pop it in the post box. One of ours was an enormous pair of (clean, brand new) pants from a pound shop. They were probably the second best of all of the items, the best of all being a slice of fresh (at first) toast.

Were they just 'put through' your letterbox or actually delivered via Royal Mail (with a stamp on them)?!

Haven't had time to catch up properly (I've been busy drinking gin for the shock).

Just to confirm, I have no front garden, straight onto the pavement so very unlikely to be from a washing line as the yards are round the back and as it's a terrace street it's along walk round.

So I am left with the potential OAP dick pic or random teens. Maybe someone thinks I'm at it with their husband, or possibly trying to move in by stealth. I'm such a lucky girl Grin

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll just on their own. No packaging to speak of. Just massive mens pants. No note (I checked)

Wow, you must be the female version of Tom Jones? Grin
