My heating is broken, what should I put my toddler in to sleep tonight?

My heating is broken and British Gas can't come out until tomorrow. The thermostat says it's currently around 18.5 degrees in the house and I'm not sure what to put my 2yo for sleeping in tonight. Her room normally gets warmer than the rest of the flat so she usually sleeps in a long sleeved top, nappy and a 1 tog sleeping bag (we don't have any bigger ones that fit at the moment). I don't want to overwhelm her with layers tonight but I'm worried about her getting cold- I'm thinking vest, long sleeved top, leggings, socks, cardigan and the sleeping bag. I can put a blanket over her but she's a right wriggler so the chances of it staying on are slim. What do you all think?

A lot of people have their heating off all night, ours drops to 16 although doesn't actually drop that low,

If you have a baby then let BG know as you'll be priority.

@InTheLongGrass

Have a Google of sleeping bag and what to wear. I'd go with vest, pyjamas, sleeping bag and then add a blanket if the house is getting cooler when you go to bed. FWIW, our heating has been on for 2 hours since last spring. Its not that cold is it?
Our flat gets really cold and damp so we’ve had it on recently. It’s meant to be 6 degrees overnight so not freezing but quite cold imo

We don’t have our heating on at night.
Our toddler wears a vest, pyjamas and sleeping bag.

I don’t think you need the cardigan. She’ll be trussed up like a turkey!

Yeah that seems to be the consensus I think!

I understand that lots of people don’t have their hearing on at night but we live in a Victorian flat with terrible insulation, damp and mold. It gets really cold if it’s not warmed up during the day- I’m not a person who gets cold really easily (the opposite, I hate the heat!) but I’m in my oodie and fuzzy socks with the duvet over me atm.

That’s what my thermostat is set at when the heating is on! I’d go for what you’ve suggested but minus the cardigan and socks. If she’s cold she’ll wake up and let you know about it.
