Shared Motherhood IVF.... Where to begin?

Me and my partner are wanting to have a baby via shared motherhood IVF with her carrying my egg. Looking into it seems to be a mine field and clinics we have spoken to won't answer any questions until we have paid like £500-600 for a consultation first and scans and blood tests. I just want basic information first and to find best place to undertake this journey with my partner and make sure we use the best possible place. We both have children already and fertility is not an issue. I am however 35 so know the clock is ticking when it comes to my eggs. Can anyone share positive stories? Give guidance on where to begin, clinics used that are good? I've read that many go abroad? How long does the process take from beginning to end? Any help and support is greatly appreciated 🙏

Isn't this basically just surrogacy? Do you pay someone quite poor to carry your baby?
Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick but the situation I've described above is morally dodgy.

It's not surrogacy. It's putting 'Amy's' egg into her partner 'Chloes' body. It's between a lesbian couple. No other women involved.

I don't know about the ins and outs of egg sharing, but my DD1 and her wife are just about to start the process for interutertine insemination, via the NHS in the south west, and the initial consultation (to check the DD's wife's tubes, ovulation etc ) plus one shot at donor insemination (not sure if that is a separate cost..I assume so) is about £1000. That's with own eggs . It's only taken a few months for the initial appointment to come through but after that I guess it depends on whether all is as it should be.. if they need IVF it will be considerably more. They are in their late twenties and fit and healthy as far as they know!
