Monopoly or other board games for 6 year old?

I've been reading the board games threads and really like the sound of Catan and Carcassonne and some others. My youngest DS is 6 and I am wondering if they are too old for him?

He loves Cluedo Junior but started getting a bit bored with Monopoly Junior which used to be a favourite. Classic Monopoly might be good but I think he'll need a lot a help in terms of counting the money which might ruin the fun for him.

Enjoyed Cranium Junior but we exhausted the cards pretty quickly and it's probably a little too easy now anyway.

Labyrinth be works well for all of us.

I want to get a new game for rainy weekend.

Game of Life definitely. Theres even an electronic version where you have a chip and pin card so you don't need to count the money - my son loves it!

Theres a speed monopoly version thats a bit better for younger ones as a full game does last a bit.

Scotland Yard is also good.
