Can I donate dressings, gauze, sterile gloves, face masks, etc, anywhere?

Ddad passed away. He had an impressive collection of sterile gloves, face masks, wound irrigation solution, bandages, tape, dressings, barrier cream and pretty much anything that was ever invented to take care of wounds. I've took all his medication back to the chemist but they told me to dispose of all this stuff as they won't take it back. Facebook won't let me list it for free as it goes against their guidelines. I feel terrible throwing it all away.

It's all unopened and he didn't pass from Covid.

Scout troop for first aid practice?

I had this question about leftover medical supplies few months ago - I couldn't find anywhere that would use them in the UK but there are a couple of UK based charities that seem to accept donations for projects overseas. Can't vouch for either of them as what I had was no good for them but could be worth investigating?

If you have a local St John Ambulance cadet (or adult) division, I’m sure they would love them for training purposes

And sorry for the loss of your DDad Flowers

I'd phone some care homes to ask if they could figure out a use.

All the out of date stuff from the first aid kits at work (after the kids have all had some bandages to play with) goes into a box on our tack room.. the dressings were great for padding horses front feet last summer.. and the eye washes have been used to wash grazes and the likes.. so always worth asking animal charities or the likes otherwise..

Unrelated but this reminds me of when a member of my family passed away and I couldn't pass his massive stash of strong medications through the proper lines, no once would take them. I didn't want to flush them. We couldn't keep them in the house because of an addict family member. I drove around for days (weeks?) With two giant bags of random painkillers in my boot.

good ideas, my local wildlife rehabilitation charity would snap that stuff up
