Contact lenses

Can anyone recommend good daily contact lenses that I can buy online?

I need ones that hold their shape when you take them out of the solution, I don't like them too thick but don't like them really flimsy either.

I'm having such an issue finding a decent pair, don't want to use specsavers etc because I think you end up paying well over the odds.

Thank you

I get mine from Vision Direct on line and they always come the next day. I use daily contact lenses too and find the Dailies Aquacomfort Plus really good.

I use 1 day Acuvue Moist - best ones I've ever had.

Oh I don't know if you can them online. I have a post subscription with Boots.

I find Acuvue dailies super flimsy. This is the reason I stick with monthlies - a bit more rigid and easier to get in and out. I only have to rub my eye slightly and they fold over or get stuck right under my eyelid.

Please don't change brand without having a fitting with an Optometrist. You need to pay for the fitting, but they should give you a trial.
60% of the issues I see are due to people doing this and sometimes they are serious and need hospital treatment.

Different branded lenses, even with exactly the same specifications differ in thickness, material, edge lift, surface treatments, optical zones, oxygen permeability, wettability etc and everyone's cornea is a different shape, their eye lids differ in how tight they are and where they habitually sit.

Why do people even consider putting a foreign body in their eye without proper medical guidance. Go to an opticians and have some trial lenses, followed up by a check up to consider the fit and how they feel/moisture content. A good independent opticians practice will offer this service.

I pay £18 a month for 60 lenses every 90 days (so not enough for everyday as I wear glasses sometimes too.
This covers my contact lens check up every year, any additional appts for problems and discounts on glasses.
More than worth it in my opinion.

Thought you cannot buy lenses, even on line without a current prescription from a optician?

My advice (a contact lens wearer of 39 years) have a good test and check up and talk to your optician to see whats the best option for you, dont just order (if you can) some random lenses on the internet
