What’s your favourite children’s book? For age range 3-6 years. Looking for some ideas.

Mine have to be Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson. Also love Ruby’s Worry (can’t remember the author).

Reading the Magic Faraway Tree just now. Six year old loves it (I think it’s dirge!)

I loved The Snail and the Whale and Dogger.

Wow said the Owl by Tim Hopgood. I practically know it word for word and will read it to my 6yr old DD when she's 20. Don't know why, but reading that book really makes me happy. Smile

Agree that all the Oliver Jeffers books are so lovely! Couldn’t pick a favourite. The short film of “Lost and Found” is also beautiful

Oi, Frog! Oi, Dog and subsequent Oi books. Absolutely love them.

The pirates next door series and the stink bomb and ketchup face books were a hit here

I have a huge love for Tabby McTat (makes me well up every time Fred is released from hospital and returns to find his cat gone) and also Tiddler - I love the fish pictures and the silly stories.

All Julie Donaldson's ones are enjoyed by my children, but these two are the one I hope they'll choose at bedtime.

Also love Tom's Rabbit - a true story of sailor Tom Crean aboard a ship with Cook or Shackleton, focuses on his pet rabbit.

The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch is another favourite, though the other ones in that series drivw mea bit mad, possible due to endless requests for them.

And agree Oliver Jeffers stories are beautiful, silly with lovely art work, just perfect for encouraging imagination in little ones. I like Stuck and That Moose is Mine best
