Anyone else not able to find Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo? What else could I use instead?

I have looked everywhere on the high street and online I can’t seem to find it in stock anywhere 😕 it’s on eBay and Amazon but ridiculous overpriced especially when usually in the shops it’s only 3.99.
Has it been discontinued or something?
I tried to google that and the only things came up was about dentinox gel being discontinued which isn’t what I’m looking for anyway.

As it doesn’t seem available can anyone suggest any alternatives that really worked for them please? My DD cradle cap was good and under control when a baby (I used dentinox shampoo) but it seems now it’s getting flaky and is back. She’s nearly 2 now

I used sunflower oil, dab on, leave for a few hours and then gently remove the stuff (DD's head and forhead was covered) with my fingers or when she was older with a comb.

I used olive oil - the pharmacy-grade small bottle from Boots. Let it soak into baby’s scalp for a few hours or overnight and then gently comb and wash out. May need to repeat a few times.

Coconut oil and a baby brush works too.

When my nearly 2 year old had very stubborn cradle cap we used a little head and shoulders shampoo and were very careful not to get it in her eyes.

I used baby oil, massage in then brush with a soft brush

Asda seem to have it online for £3.99

@StarCat2020 Hi yeah I tried to order it with my grocery shop and it told me it was out of stock once I tried to check out 😔

I found head and shoulders to work well.
Obviously make sure it doesn't get in their eyes

I've been looking for it for a while and I think to must have been discontinued. Body shop ginger shampoo is nice.

I bought some recently but you're right was out of stock in boots and supermarkets.
Found at the local pharmacy and paid the inflated price!

I used Dentinox but SIL’s GP recommended Head & Shoulders for nephew’s cradle cap and she said it was like magic coming off.

Also second head and shoulders. Let it soak in for a bit before gentle brushing/combing.

My DS got terrible dermatitis from Dentinox that took weeks to clear. So I’d try anything else first.

Mustela foam shampoo - it’s pricy but it really works, DD’s cradle cap cleared up within a couple of washes.

One of my dd's has terrible cradle cap until we went on holiday to the Caribbean. The combination of sun cream, sweat and humidity lifted it off.

@BlueRose18 the company who make dentinox have gone into administration. The company were sold so hopefully they will start making it again. I recommend Johnson's baby oil and a cradle cap brush.

I have a bottle that has been barely used as I hated the smell 😳 if you're reasonably local I could gift it to you or pop it in the post if not.

Any edible oil will work, leave it to soak in, then pick or brush out gently

I have a bottle too that I was given by the company (I'm a HCP trainee and it was one of those 'gifts' at training conferences, along with various other bits). If you'd like it, I'm happy to post it. Not a long-term solution but might help for a little while.

I always used olive oil on my 3. It was suggested by the health visitor.

Although I have just checked and it's expired (obviously I never throw anything away). Not sure if that would affect how effective it would be.

@alwaystiredalwaysgrumpy Oh really? That would explain a lot. Maybe that’s why it hasn’t been re stocked anywhere at the mo.
