Anyone else suffering with a lack of sleep. It's doing my head in. Feel drained all the time but can't sleep. Help 😣

I'm awake but have slept all night for a change, I'm usually half nocturnal. In my case due to grief. I try to just roll with the sleeplessness instead of getting stressed out. I do a mix of things- read, have a cuppa, mess about on my phone. Try to be relaxed because in my experience there isn't much you can do to make yourself fall asleep. And I hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and that you cannot read this because you are now asleep

Wide awake club reporting for duty! I'm so uncomfortable and the thought of another 8 weeks of this is making me feel a bit wobbly.

Sending sleepy vibes your way!

Hello. I'm 39 weeks in and up every day at 04:30.

Sorry for your loss @joystir59. Flowers

Bless you. I didn't sleep at all the last bit of pregnancy, between sciatica, hip issues and general discomfort. Think I slept more with a newborn.

Best thing to do is get up, eat ice cream, watch tv and hope to fall asleep there.

32 weeks here. Up for the loo, quick check on dd now can’t get back to sleep. Work tomorrow, well today now. Going to be tired.

35 weeks and up since 4.15 here 💤 DH got up to go to work (very quietly) and I needed a wee (for the 80th time tonight) and then couldn’t sleep. Didn’t get to sleep until five 11 which is very unusual for me so I’m shattered! Thankfully I’m at work today so can just plod along with my admin whilst drinking coffee, rather than chasing an energetic toddler!

80th time for a wee SmileGrin

I spat out my cereal. It's so relentless

Same here! I'm 33 weeks and haven't slept a full night in months. I'm up for hours, usually around 2 and 4am. I feel completely shattered.

Someone once told me that it is your body preparing you to survive on less sleep for when the baby arrives. No idea if this is true though!

Trufflepuffpuff · 30/09/2020 10:52

I'm a FTM so this might be totally naive but a few people have told me that the tiredness in the first and last trimester is actually more unbearable than when the baby arrives, as you just kind of get on with it then. Someone will probably correct me on that but I'm living in hope Grin

Ruths1 · 30/09/2020 10:54

Thanks all, just getting really fed up. Feel like I'm running myself into the ground. Yes I'm the same constantly needed a wee and I too also have sciatica issues along with disc and hip problems. Roll on labour that's all I can day. Blush
