I hate the noise of the grand prix...grr!!

DH watching the Grand Prix highlights. Just cant bare the monotonous drone. I'm in the kitchen doing the ironing 🙄🙄 but can still hear it. Is it just me that finds the noise really irritating?

DH is a huge fan and I detest the noise. To be fair to him, he'll watch it wearing headphones so I don't have to listen.

So many people uninterested almost to the point of being intolerant of other family members interests. I don't get it. I understand that you don't have to be ecstatic about them but the total disdain is a little out

I take an interest because they are all interested. Just like they take an interest in my interests.

Not how Oh and I work.
Just because we are a couple does not mean I have to absorb his interests, or him in mine.
I have zero interest in cricket, the trade union movement and ethernet protocol- all subjects that interest him greatly.
Similarly I don't expect him to share my interest in yoga, neolithic history or plant taxonomy.

We have a very happy relationship but value our independance.

I'm fine on TV but in real life it's horrendously noisy.

Oh it's my happy noise. Any motor sport is.

I absolutely love it. And not just on race day - I shall spend the rest of the week listening to the re-runs of the practice sessions from Russia on BBC Sounds.
