Why did you leave during your probationary period?

Just gathering a bit of anecdotal evidence for a project at work. If you got a new job and left during your probationary period, what were your reasons for leaving and what could have been done differently? Thanks in advance!

Friend worked in supermarket had been there 3 days went fur lunch and never went back. He just hated it.
Another was meant to be an online shopper for sainsburys, 4am start. He spent the 5 hours stacking shelves. Ended after a week, wrote an email saying he wasn't going back and sent his locker key in and that was that.

"Project at work" - what, like a DM article?

Indeed... what exactly is your project at work that you're gathering 'anecdotal' - aka, Mumsnet, evidence for?

I didn’t end up leaving in the end but was seriously interviewing for other jobs maybe 2 months in.
Main reasons were I was totally missold the role and felt I’d taken a massive back step from my previous one even though I was now being paid more.
I work in enterprise sales and was told they needed someone with my expertise to handle the huge amount of incoming business they had coming in. In reality they wanted to use my connections and have me build up a pipeline from scratch

@Lovingmylife - if this is a genuine research project or for a media feature, then MNHQ ask you to contact them in advance for lots of lovely paid-for opportunities, starting at around £30, iirc.

If you are asking as a user like any other, perhaps share your own story before you ask others to use theirs?

Thanks for your comments. Nope not any form of media. I'm doing a small project at work about onboarding and probationary periods and making the experience better for the new employee.

As for my own story. I left bang on the 6 month mark in one role as i didn't like my manager.
