Just musing....

Assuming you agree with the fact that the current restrictions are a violation of our personal rights/freedom but worth it to save lives then do you also agree we should ban drinking and smoking which have no health benefits but definitely cause illness/death and if not, why not?

Some may argue that smoking/drinking only directly affect the individual and not others but surely these activities are ultimately a drain on the NHS/police and so others do suffer.

Where do we draw the line between our individual freedoms and are responsibilities towards others?

But there ARE laws to protect others from the impact of an individuals smoking or drinking. Now we know about passive smoking individuals who smoke are restricted in where they can smoke. Similarly, people who drink aren't allowed to get in a car and drive.
