Bean to cup coffee machine

I have a pod coffee machine but the environmental impact is bothering me so I'm going to stop using it.
Is a bean to cup machine my best option? I drink a lot of cappuccino so need a decent milk frother.
Or is an Aeropress a good substitute?
There's so much information online I'm quite confused!!
Any recommendations. Willing to spend around £450.

I love my Jura bean to cup. Lots of options for coffee and it does have a milk attachment, although I haven't used it as I don't like foam, so heat the milk in the mug in the microwave.
I also love that I can try different roasts and styles of coffee beans, but that can make me very fussy when having coffee anywhere else :-(

Do you know you can get reusable pods for a lot of machines? It may be worth you looking up your machine as throwing way a working coffee maker would be worse than lots of small bits of plastic .
You could donate the machine but that just means someone else using plastic pods

I have become a coffee snob, too, as a result of my bean to cup machine. It is a Delonghi Magnfica and we bought it at the start of lockdown as we were no longer having coffee out. It is brilliant - so fresh and fragrant. We haven't been back to Starbucks / Costa / Nero because we can make it better at home. My parents still use instant and it is hard to swallow!

We also have a Delonghi Magnifica and it’s been great during lockdown, one of us has decaf ground coffee and the other caffeinated beans, works well with both although I rarely use the milk frothier, I heat milk in the microwave which it’s making coffee.

We have a Sage/Breville bean to cup machine and I love it. We've been able to make really decent coffee and very rarely pick up coffee while we're out and about now as we can make it just as good (sometimes better) at home.

We have had the Delonghi S ECAM for 5 years. It's in Argos for £399. It automatically froths the milk for a cappuccino and has 3 froth settings, it also self cleans after making it.

It was DH's 40th birthday present. He did a lot of research on bean to cup. He has several varieties of coffee throughout the day depending on how he feels. I just have cappuccino.

You can set how much coffee is delivered so once that is set for whatever cup you use you don't need to set it again.

It is very easy to clean in terms of emptying the grounds container, they are little discs of compacted coffee and descaling every few months which was important to us.

You simply put another cup underneath and turn the dial to clean the milk spout and put the container back in the fridge.

We have a bean to cup machine, it has a frother but we still use the frother that we bought for the Nespresso it’s easy to clean and use.
