Medical certificate for covid

The gov website states that I need a medical certificate within 72 hours of travel. I've read that the test results can take 72 hours to reach you, which leaves very little room for leeway - am I overthinking this? That my certificate would need to arrive at the latest 3 days prior to travel? What would happen if the results are delayed?
Sorry if this is actually simple to understand, I'm sleep deprived with my 8mo and a recent fire scare 😭

You won’t get a test unless you have symptoms.

Was none of the advice on your previous thread taken forward?

Pay for a private test. Dont take away a test from someone with symptoms

@Feminist10101 @dementedpixie don't worry I was planning to get a private test done. And I read the advice on the previous thread but my question now is more so about the timing of it. Are private test results reliable in terms of timing?

I would contact the private companies and find out. They must have this scenario come up quite a lot

Fit to Fly certificates for COVID

Montsiki · 05/07/2021 13:31

Hello everybody,

I need a fit for fly certificate to travel to Spain. Since June 6th, they admit Rapid Antigen Tests, as long as they are in the EU approved list below.

ec.europa.eu/health/sites/default/files/preparedness_response/docs/covid-19_rat_common-list_en.pdf

All test result certificates should include the same set of information, the EU committee said, namely:
Person’s name
Date of birth
Type of test, including manufacturer and commercial name (for antigen tests)
Name of infection tested for (SARS-CoV-2)
Result
Date and time
Testing centre
Country
Test result issuer

Despite my efforts, I couldn't find out the commercial name/type of test of the Rapid Antigen Test offered at Boots and other laboratories. So basically, they say their test is approved, but do not know which one they are offering. It is driving me mad.

HAS SOMEBODY TRAVELLED TO THE EU RECENTLY WITH A RAPID ANTIGEN TEST which didn't specify which one? Any problems to get it accepted?

Thanks to all!
