Difference between Flu jab and nasal vaccine in children?

I’ve tried looking for more info but I don’t seem to find a straight answer.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the flu jab and the nasal vaccine in children?

The nasal spray is a live vaccine and the jab isn’t. Most children have the nasal spray but a minority will have the jab, DS has the jab as he takes immune suppressants.

Thanks. Do you know if the flu jab gives the same level of protection as the spray?

The spray is more effective in people under 18 years old.

We had someone come into school last year to tell us the children's vaccine protects against 5 strains of flu where as the adult one only cover 4 strains. The childs ond contains porcine but the adult one doesnt

Pretty sure it’s 4 in the child’s one and 3 in the adult.

Knew it was something like that

The adult one is definitely 4. I got mine on Friday and that's what I was told. The over 65 one is only 3 strains.
