Phobias - what are your unusual ones?

I have never met anyone that has the same phobia as me and wondered if anyone else has any has the same or any other strange ones?
I’m terrified of any public toilet that you have to go through a door to get to (not the big bright open ones you get in large shopping centres) with grills in the ceilings and pipe work exposed or those ones with the cistern up high with the long chain. Things like drains in swimming pools and the grids that have the wave machines behind them at the deep end.
Not sure if these things are linked in anyway and no idea what made the phobia happen either.
What are yours?

Prawns. I can’t bear to look at them and have to turn away if they are on tv, on a cooking show or whatever. If someone near me is eating them it literally turns my stomach. I have always made it a rule that no partner can eat them in front of me because it would haunt me the next time I was going to kiss them!

Don't do it! The pics are horrible on google. Shipwrecks are my worst nightmare (combo of underwater -thallasso, machine -mecano and really big -megalo creating one big phobia).
My dad worked in the shipyards and I'd be dragged to watch them being launched which was terrifying. The fucking SIZE of them! I was also scared of lighthouses and massive satellite dishes. Something about inanimate objects that move I think. Doubly worse if underwater.
I saw a video on Facebook once of some divers which said 'wait for it'. A bloody submarine passed just below them and I felt like I was going to pass out!

@ShivD our local pool had the same thing!! I still don’t like the idea of that grill with metres of dark water under it. shudders

Thank goodness they are knocking it down and building a new pool!

Crabs - I can't get past the legs. Too much like spiders legs with the segments so in my head crabs are basically big armour plated spiders. I'm well aware how silly it sounds!

I used to know someone who was terrified of feta cheese, it would bring her out in a cold sweat just seeing it. Because of those old adverts where the cheese cubes climb the plate of food. Even she couldn't place exactly what was so horrifying about it to her Grin

@BearSoFair not laughing at your phobia but the phrase armour plated spiders made me chuckle. They are fucking horrid, my nan used to take us rockpooling near where we lived on the coast and I never touched one and would freak out when they’d scuttle near me, bleugh.

The idea of caving/pot holing is possibly the worst thought in the world. I also have numerous nightmares about the tides coming in but coming up and up and up until they sweep me away (always found that fascinating as a dream though, think it’s because I’m never prepared for anything so perpetually feel overwhelmed)

Public toilets. Disgusting places. Envy

Kids paint when it's dry. Like ready mix or powered paint. Touching it will make me recoil and clench. I'm fine if the paint is wet though

Down escalators where there's only a step and a bit width before it drops (tube ones with a good long stretch before they go down are fine)

Anything to do with anything medical for me- didn't go inside a GP surgery for over 10 years, petrified of them doing things or forcing me to have needles etc. With a lot of help I can now cope but it's taken years and that panic/fear is always there, I just cope better.
