Is it worth starting to cloth nappy at 5 months old?

I’ve been using disposables for my baby so far but now have some washable nappies.

I don’t mind the idea of washing baby poo nappies when baby is breastfed but how does it work when the poo’d are from solids?

Is it a bit late to be starting now?

I started at 7/8 months. You tip the poo down the toilet. Use toilet tissue or shower head for any remnants.

Yes, definitely worth it.

Definitely.

Use a liner, Shake the nappy over the loo. If it's too soft and won't go, hold the edge of the liner and flush. Most of it will be carried away.

It's actually a bit easier at this age, as the wees and poos happen less often and the poo gets easier to shake off.

No, definitely not too late. As above, chuck "solids" (bleurgh) down the toilet and stick in a bucket until washing. You can use nappy liners - either fleece or disposable to help with the pooh issue.
