...how would you fill your days and what causes would you promote? Also, what staff would you have?

I'd rather be president!

TheSpottedZebra · 17/09/2020 09:23

I'd fill my days with details of my divorce.

I'd rather be president! I discounted that as being too complicated for my daydreaming.

I’d go up against the junk food industry and portion control and try and tackle childhood obesity in the USA.

It pisses me off that films, tv and adverts, have normalised the consumption of massive bowls of popcorn, huge buckets of fizzy drinks and boxes of doughnuts.

And if there’s time try to change their health care system so everyone gets treatment.

MsStillwell · 17/09/2020 09:43

Hmm, I'm thinking either health/obesity, education or environment.

I would love to have someone do my hair, I'm terrible at it. Obama speaks about organising her diary to get the most out of one styling (as it took so long).
I'm no Jackie Kennedy and the papers and magazines would be full of photos of my belly rolls and poor posture Grin

I don't particularly think the spouse of an elected leader should use their marriage to push their own agenda. Otherwise President and First Lady should explicitly run on one ticket.

Feminism. Mothers. Children. Poverty.
Promotion of good, free mental health provision that actually empowers people rather than medicalising them.

Gazelda · 17/09/2020 09:56

Poverty and living conditions.

Mrsjayy · 17/09/2020 09:59

I'd dig out my microchip and run for the hills taking my child with me!

Spudlet · 17/09/2020 09:59

Access to healthy food. I understand that some parts of US cities are food deserts - places where there are no shops selling fresh food available, meaning that anyone without a car (and these are normally the poorest areas) has no access to anything apart from processed foods.

This 👏👏👏👏

I don't particularly think the spouse of an elected leader should use their marriage to push their own agenda. Yes, it's a fascinating situation they have. (What are your thoughts on monarchies?).

I'd fill my days with details of my divorce. As I'm possibly married to Jed Bartlet, this is something I'm unlikely to be doing.
