Deciphering abnormal blood test results

SimplySteveRedux · 16/09/2020 09:48

I've recently had a set of bloods done with the following being vastly outside of the normal range. Dr. Google is pointing me to various conditions, including Lupus. How do I raise this with the GP?

Serum Gamma GT
Total White Cell Count
Lymphocyte Count
Eosinophil Count

The abnormal readings are abnormally increased, with the exception of Iron, which is low.

I've also some reading that are borderline - IgA, MCH and Basophils Coint.

These readings have been abnormal for some time, several years, this was first blood draw since moving to new surgery a year ago.

Your GP will raise it with you if there is an issue.

I am assuming they have the blood test results?

Book a telephone appointment with your gp to discuss the results. It is not possible to comment on your test results without knowing your medical history, symptoms or the actual numbers of your tests.

Sometimes they are flagged as abnormal but the GP notes say "no concerns"

Was this a private test from Medichecks or similar?

If not, and was therefore ordered by your GP, they will have the results
