Will I ever be the same?

This is going to sound so self centred 😬
I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. Ds1 is 15 and ds2 is 20 months. After ds2 I had to see a physio who told me my pelvic floor was crap basically and I was having treatment. This has all stopped since I've got pregnant again and I'm worried another baby will destroy my bits. Anyone got any advice?

kegal exercises maybe ive heard of them Confused

I was in exactly the same position although it was already a problem with my first. Strangely, it got better after my third baby. I did the exercises the physio gave me, they do work. Once you go back after this baby she'll be able to give you a full assessment.

Sorry one more point, make sure you put that in your birth plan so that they know not to let you push too long. The cause of my problems was pushing for 90 minutes with an epidural, apparently that can really weaken things - I stupidly insisted as I had no idea.

Can I ask for a c section? I dont want to worsen things more

@BigFluffyBearr yes, you can always ask for a c section. Just bear in mind that comes with other downsides, and the pelvic floor isn't actually much damaged by a straightforward birth. What they'll tell you is that it can also be the weight of the baby through pregnancy, as well as any incidental weight gain, that makes it worse. As I say, my issues actually improved after my third birth, but I don't know how bad it is for you. Definitely ask, and get them to talk through the risks for your situation.

Thanks its likely to be my last birth so i dont know whether to just try vaginal like my other 2. This baby was an happy surprise so I've been a bit shocked I've had to stop treatment
