Please remember that the person posted probably has a severe phobia.
No amount of responses saying 'just put a glass over it, and take it outside' or 'it's more scared of you than you are of it' are going to help.
I've been on both sides, and am now at the stage of being able to capturing them and getting them out the house.
However, I still remember that stop in your steps fear when you spot one, and wonder how you're ever going to walk past it, let alone stay in the house with it.

Exposure is the best cure for fear. The chances of every person having a severe phobia is pretty slim...many people just hate spiders, I wouldn’t call that a severe phobia.

I used to run from spiders out of fear. I wouldn’t say it was a severe phobia, I’d say that was the basic human flight mechanism kicking in. I couldn’t catch them to put out so I had to get others to do it. I couldn’t knowingly have any in the house. Through exposure and a general interest in all creatures, I got over the fear gradually. Now I have 26 tarantulas ranging from 1cm babies up to an 18cm sub adult. Also, a ladybird spider and a jumping spider. I can’t believe the change in me to go from running from arachnids and crying, to now loving my pet ones.

Exposure to your fears is key. And you can’t go wrong with UK spiders. No UK spider is dangerous. They are just little friends who want to be left alone.
