Boys grey school trousers age 13-14 ish.
As comfortable as possible around the waist due to sensory issues so preferably pull up/fully elasticated/ribbed waist.
I've found lots of lovely girls stretch trousers but I'm not sure he'd appreciate bootcut!
Thank you.
Why is parenting so hard.

Have you tried Matalan?

Ernieshere · 09/09/2020 19:58

Matalan & Sainsburys have some, but not sure about the waist.

Would you consider a local seamstress to put the elastic waist on for you?

Asda?

AutumnLeavesStart · 09/09/2020 20:47

Try the zeco brand, you can get them on amazon.

AnneBullen · 09/09/2020 21:06

ASOS?

Have you tried the M&S adaptive clothing range? They have pull up trousers.

PeaceAndHarmoneeee · 09/09/2020 21:10

Was just coming on to recommend M&S adaptive range, DS has some of the shirts, much more comfy than the usual ones.

yeOldeTrout · 09/09/2020 21:13

Why wouldn't usual adjustable trousers work, is he paunch? What is his current waist circumf?

BluebellsGreenbells · 09/09/2020 21:26

If you haven’t been shopping lately, M&S are desolate of trousers! Nothing in black for my 15/16 year old son, nothing!!

ihearttc · 09/09/2020 21:28

Zeco Sturdy Fit, they are soft and with elastic at the back.

HungryPies · 09/09/2020 21:43

Thanks everyone!
No trousers listed in that range on the M&S website unfortunately.
I've tried the Zeco sturdy fit before but they were too baggy in the leg, like clown trousers!
I will try the ones suggested on ebay.
I also hadn't thought of a seamstress to change the waistband, I will look into that.
In the meantime I've bought the next size up from Asda and wonder webbed the bottom as they were too long.
His waist in is proportion, he just has sensory issues and has worn joggers for the last 6 months shift doesn't help.
Don't get me started on school shoes!
Thanks again.

@HungryPies I can't help with the trousers, but it might be worth looking at barefoot/minimalist shoes if it's the 'clumpiness' of regular shoes that are the problem.

AutumnLeavesStart · 10/09/2020 08:02

@yeOldeTrout The OP clearly explains that her DS has sensory issues, which is why he needs these types of trousers. Find another thread to be the weight police.

Moltenpink · 10/09/2020 08:05

If you are really struggling, Morrison’s trousers are half elasticated (at the back).

yeOldeTrout · 10/09/2020 08:29

Rude Autumn. You can add moral judgement onto the child's waist size. I didn't do that.

I looked for missing information.
Standard school trousers almost all are adjustable using an interior elastic strap with button fastening on each side -- but I guess OP is saying that type of usual adjustable bothers her lad, he wants a different type of adjustable.

AutumnLeavesStart · 10/09/2020 12:12

Uh-huh, there was no judgement at all in asking if her child was ‘paunch’ and requesting his waist size Wink
