Yes
Yes you are
You’re that special.
Magnificent yet utterly alone in the world. Thanks for telling us.

Urghh at the ‘how old do I look’ posts.... I wouldn’t know because you have used a heavily filtered photo, or even worse added a fake puppy nose and ears effect! If you genuinely want to know, post a photo of what you actually look like!

nosswith · 09/09/2020 17:36

No one said that about the penis beaker!

Pagwatch · 09/09/2020 17:38

I think penis beaker was the signal that we were facing a dystopian future.
How foolish we all were to ignore that stark warning

Does something stupid, then asks, ‘what am I like? 😂’

A twit- that’s what you’re like.

Crankley · 09/09/2020 17:46

It makes me laugh and I have to try really hard not to reply with something like 'of course it's only you, you're a special snowflake, no-one is more sensitive or thoughtful or understanding. You're a one off. Unique. Special................ of course you're not the only one, don't be so fucking stupid and grow up!.

If you see that one day, you'll know I've had enough and flipped. Grin

Damn you OP, I've been meaning to start a post about this for months! Smile

BarkandCheese · 09/09/2020 17:54

It’s often not very covert attempt at starting a thread to put down things the OP considers common.
“Am I the only one who dislikes Nando’s/acrylic nails/cake smash pictures/Disney World/reality TV/all inclusive resorts/bows on babies”.

Of course the OP knows they’re not the only one to dislike those things, they’re just trying to get a good old sneery bitch fest going.

@Duvetstay

Op... I don't know why my child is overweight... gives example of healthy diet... Porridge and blueberries for breakfast....etc etc

Poster... You do know oats are massively fattening and berries are basically haribo

The best bit of complete batshit, healthy eating competitiveness I’ve seen on here is saying that raw carrot sticks are unhealthy.

topically - AIBU to do/not do socially distanced related thing "because I don't want to catch covid"
Really? Do you not? Strange. I've been so desperate to catch it I've been asking randoms to cough in my face.
Maybe just take it as read that nobody wants to catch covid and proceed with your post without needing to clarify that.

*It’s the “we” thing for me. Sets my teeth on edge.

What do “we” think of culottes. When are “ we” sending our kids back to school.

There is no “we” . Mumsnet is not some homogeneous mass. It is not a hive mind, it is made up of millions of individuals.*

Oh yes! If you want to wear the 'Boden' jumper, wear it! Don't ask 'our 'permission!

A bit like the "Has anyone ever been on holiday to Blackpool?" type threads.

Absolutely not. It's still a desolate wasteland, awaiting its first ever visitor.
