Settle an argument - what colour are my eyes?

I think they're grey, my dad thinks they're blue, and in the past they've been described as green. What would you say? (I have sectoral heterochromia in the left one so there is a touch of brown in the mix, just to complicate things)

Green...

Please don't write anything too descriptive on you dating profile ie. Eye colour.
The potentials won't really care, but long strange descriptions of eye colour might just make you sound abit......strange?
just go for the closest to what you think?
Potential partners can decide what your eye colour is when they meet you, surely.

Greyey, greeny, bluey....not much help! but a very pretty colour!

AnIdiot · 07/09/2020 13:32

Blue

LesLavandes · 07/09/2020 13:53

I think they are green, like mine.

Green eyes change colour over the seasons

Trikc · 07/09/2020 14:36

Grey blue with a touch of hazel. Very vey normal to not have a deffo tie colour. My eyes are hazel but with the right makeup look very green.

Trikc · 07/09/2020 14:40

Screens don't show the same colours

ginghamtablecloths · 07/09/2020 14:41

I think they're grey.

Somethingvague · 07/09/2020 14:43

Similar to mine which I just say greyish-greenish for. Or like a murky bit of sea indeed.

MmeD · 07/09/2020 14:48

Sea blue. Def not green. Pretty.

Cornettoninja · 07/09/2020 14:53

I say green but a grey-green Grin

You’d be a very popular farrow and ball colour.

BabyLlamaZen · 07/09/2020 14:59

Blue but on the lighter end.

Honestly, it depends on what light you see them in and a photo is tricky.

ChickensMightFly · 07/09/2020 15:01

Very very similar to my colour! I call it heather. Grin

MmeD · 07/09/2020 15:20

“You’d be a very popular farrow and ball colour.”

Grin

So true! Now trying to decide what room the OP’s eye colour would suit.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 07/09/2020 16:12

I think a kitchen or a downstairs loo. It would be called Degraded Arsenic or something.

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 07/09/2020 16:15

True-blue.

Rigamorph · 07/09/2020 16:17

They're very pretty but I wouldn't know how to describe them either Wink

Mumtumwobble · 07/09/2020 16:28

They look a greenish blue to me. My eyes are very similar (including the brownish bit) and I never know what to call them either. Plus they seem to change colour.

Distressedchic · 07/09/2020 16:33

Tbh I’m stumped Grin
I’d say the closest colour would be green ish.

PlanDeRaccordement · 07/09/2020 16:34

Hazel

ikeairgin · 07/09/2020 17:27

I have similar eye colour and they look green/grey/blue depending on the light and what I'm wearing ....

I found this online too "Some people have eyes that can change color. Even though this phenomenon hasn’t been studied in-depth yet, all scientists still agree that this is not a disease, but a unique particularity which only a few people have. Usually people with green-blue or hazel eyes have chameleon eye color. Medical doctors haven’t found any problems with vision among these people, and this “gift” can’t be inherited either.

According to research, a consistent change of eye color is connected with processes in the nervous and endocrine systems and the quantity of melanin. Chameleon eyes react to stress, romantic feelings, and weariness, their change can also be connected with the environment and climate change."

HeronLanyon · 07/09/2020 17:29

The photo on left looks more blue than the other which definitely looks green

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 07/09/2020 17:51

@ikeairgin I love the idea of chameleon eyes! I have to admit that it's made me think of bulbous eyes that can swivel independently of each other.

I shall have to try on some different coloured tops and see if my eyes look greener or bluer.

I have no idea op, but if you ever get a definitive answer do let me know!

Ds (21) has the same eye colour, not quite blue, grey or green.
My mum says my grandad had the same colour eyes she describes them as steel blue.

Ive never known Officially what to call them, so I’ve always called them sludge!😀

Libertylee · 07/09/2020 18:39

Green from where I’m standing

SamanthaJayne4 · 07/09/2020 23:04

Grey. Quite a rare colour. They can appear to be blue. I read this as I like a celebrity with grey eyes!
