I've messed up and need to get an awesome gift for a three year old boy to say sorry. Needs to be posted so smallish if possible.

Budget upto £50.

No idea what three year old boys like, what is cool so help please!

Hop along toy? Ie it's blow up and you sit on it and bounce along on it.
Huge hit for my 3 yo.

Bubble machine
?

It does kind of depend on what he's in to and what he already has...

Good generic presents at that age might be: a wooden ice cream stall. A ride on tractor. A kids camera. A stomp rocket, bubbles and other garden games. A car garage. A balance bike.

Voucher for a day out? Membership to a local Wildlife Centre?

Look up, toy star bouncy horse. You could get it delivered straight there.
Then because that's half price, buy butterfly garden kit... Hell get voucher for live caterpillar, in jar who eat, then turn into caterpillar on his net.

A ride on motorbike/car . I’ve got 2 boys and their plastic ride on motorbike is a favourite

EssentialHummus · 06/09/2020 15:41

What do you mean, to say sorry? They don't really understand a gift as an apology at three - I have a three year old and she'd be happier with an ice cream than a big present!

FairfaxAikman · 06/09/2020 15:50

If he doesn't have one already, a balance bike. My two year old adores his

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 06/09/2020 15:51

I assume the ‘smashing it out of the park’ bit is an apology to the parents. Did you forget his birthday, OP?

Updownin · 06/09/2020 15:53

Buy it and get it posted direct to parents - then you don't have any posting/ size issues.

Updownin · 06/09/2020 15:54

Don't but big plastic tat like kitchens unless parents want that in the house

aToadOnTheWhole · 06/09/2020 16:30

If he's anything like my 3 yo then a smash it out of the park present would be something completely unsuitable and dangerous, like a working drill, or a set of electric hair clippers Grin

But if you're already apologising, maybe don't to that. There's an awesome duplo train set that you can control with a tablet, that's about £50 and won't take up a huge amount of space.

Stompythedinosaur · 06/09/2020 16:36

The thing is, if you are looking to apologise and demonstrate the 3yo is important to you, you probably need to get something specific to them and their interests. Spending money alone is not much of an apology.

Thanks, some really great suggestions.
