Tell me about your episodes of road rage after the witch I just encountered has left me fuming.

In my 18 years of driving I’ve maybe had about 8 episodes of road rage but today’s topped them all and made me so angry.
I feel like I need to type it out and read others examples to calm down.

I was in a busy car park (probably the scene of most road rages!) awaiting to park in a spot.
The woman in front stopped dead and did nothing. I wondered why.
I decided to reverse to see if she was wanting to back into a space next to us.
She did. And as she came level with my window she shouted “If you would fucking move you stupid cunt”

Well. She ignited my fire within and my rage boiled over. I couldn’t believe the way she spoke to me when I had done nothing wrong (no way I could have known her intention as she didn’t indicate etc)

I got out of my car and said EXCUSE ME! How dare you speak to me like that when I’ve done nothing wrong

She was about 25 years older than me and looked like a real life witch. She said “you stupid fucking cunt learn to drive”

Even though I do swear I chose to be the bigger person and use words rather than swearing and I said “how was I supposed to know your plans and how did that warrant a load of abuse, you horrible rude woman”

I walked away and she shouted cunt.

And I couldn’t let her have that as the last word so I said “you are lucky my kid is in the car as I would drag you out of that car and show you who is a cunt”
And I drove off.

Why do arseholes like this exist.

Tell me your examples?

Sorry you had to go through that. I would have pissed her off even more by laughing and saying 'life's too short love go buy a dildo'. Honestly some people get off on stuff like that. I was in the car with my sister once going to Asda, and a car behind kept horning but didn't realise we were waiting for a car in front to go...she went mad horning and we ignored her. After we got out and went inside the store, we heard a girl absolutely milking the story to a guy she was talking too ( taking the mick calling us bitches, idiots and what not). We realised it was her behind us in the car, so my sister said ohh so it was that bitch behind us and she said yes I was that bitch...proceeded to giggle with her guy friend on loud speaker. We both give her a mouthful about learning how to drive etc etc. She quickly cut the phone off and ran to an aisle pretending like nothing happened. Glad she felt embarrassed in front of the guy she was showing off too.

Also had a woman horn the crap out of her car after I parked in a baby bay. I got to it first. She probably looked at me like I was innocent and would move out for her. But no I gave it back by just simply signalling to my watch saying I got here first which I did. Yes I had a baby too.

@Kisforkaylied, always have your phone nearby. Even if you’re not filming, just stick it out like you’re recording them and then pan to their car’s license plate.

Good for you @IaskBoringQuestions
I’d have parked across both spaces and told her to go fuck herself!
Why should you sit there silently and be abused for being considerate and say nothing in return!

I don't get people who get so wound up on the roads and in carparks. There is just no need at all. If someone is so desperately needing to be in front of you by overtaking for the 5 minutes you are both travelling on the same road before you both go your separate ways then let it be. It really really doesn't matter.
There used to be a rat run on the way to work a few years ago where people would speed off down that road to avoid the lights but would usually only end up 2 or 3 cars ahead of you if you chose the lights way. Then everyone would turn of in different directions anyway so all that racing and panicking was pointless.
If someone shouts and swears at you, which I can't say I have had much of tbh, just look at them with a raised eyebrow and move on... there really is no need to ruin your day by giving them a second thought.
Remember you can't control others actions but you can certainly control your reaction to it...

A funny one I saw on tiktok Grin

A woman filming herself in her car. "Hi guuuuuuyyyyssss I just wanna show you the new stuff I got from Sephora..."

Horn starts honking in the background. She turns round like wtf? Starts yelling THE LIGHT ISNT EVEN GREEN YET GO AROUND MEEE

Yep. She decided to film a tiktok video at a red light Hmm

Honking continues. Woman loses her cool. Winds the window down and starts screaming at the woman who has now pulled up next to her.

When she pauses to inhale, the other woman says calmly, "your gas tank is open."

Woman visibly recoiled and put on this cutesy sickly sweet voice, "OMG I'm so sorry I'm sooooo sorry" Grin

I don’t think I’ve ever had an incident like that (I tend to rail and shout in the safety of my car!) but I get how adrenaline and anger sometimes make you act badly, especially when you’re a hotheaded type.

Once. Stood by the road with a broken car (on a retail park so not blocking anything vital) kind of half on the kerb, couldn't move car, waiting for recovery. In ambulance uniform
I had SO much abuse I got back in the car and cried and then sat looking away from the traffic. Beeped at, sworn at, hand gestures. Not one person stopped to ask if I was alright
It was a 20mph retail park with about ten other routes rather than drive past me. Grim
