How often are your children being temperature checked at school? Just curious.

Ours is thrice daily.

Umm.... 0!

PinkFondantFancy · 03/09/2020 17:47

Three times a day?! I hope none at ours, we'll see next week I guess.

Danglingmod · 03/09/2020 17:48

Zero. It's not in the guidance so I don't think many are?

Don't think they are doing it at all.

Scarby9 · 03/09/2020 17:51

Not at all.
Where are you OP, and how big is the school if they have the time and spare personnel to do this for all the pupils?

ChristmasinJune · 03/09/2020 17:51

Our school takes it once, on the way in.

Ds' school, never.

Skingaling · 03/09/2020 17:52

I don't think they're doing it at all at my DD's primary school (she's not back yet).

BarcelonaBetty · 03/09/2020 17:53

None

My DDs nursery is temp checking the kids once, on arrival

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 03/09/2020 18:11

0, also West Mids, about 250 on roll.

ILoveAnOwl · 03/09/2020 18:12

Once a day on arrival.

Timeforabiscuit · 03/09/2020 18:13

Zero, and we are in an enhanced measures area!

SleepingStandingUp · 03/09/2020 18:17

Ok good to see were just a touch neurotic then. We also burst bubbles if a kid gets a SYMPTOM

OP posts:
user127819 · 03/09/2020 19:05

What does "burst bubbles" mean?

SleepingStandingUp · 03/09/2020 19:07

Sorry, when they send the whole bubble of kids home because one has a symptom / in most schools when someone tests positive

OP posts:
HemlockStarglimmer · 03/09/2020 19:07

Once a day here. On the way in. We also have to check temperature before leaving the house. To save a wasted journey I assume as some children travel a fair way to get there.

Makes sense checking at home tbh if they're gonna get checked at school

So you send a whole class/ year group home every time somebody has a cough or high temperature??? That's unsustainable surely?
SleepingStandingUp · 03/09/2020 21:46

We shall see.

The rules state that if the child is symptomatic at school the parent will be called to collect them urgently and the whole bubble will be of until a negative test or if positive, the standard 14 days.
