We have 3 children aged 5.5 and under so all in car seats / boosters. We are managing, just, with a Corolla, but I'm not happy with the safety. We want a car that can fit them all properly plus room for a friend or gear if we go on holiday.

Top priorities are a super reliable workhorse of a car. Currently booked in to view

Seat Alhambra- amazing car space wise. We used to have a Mazda 5 and it was good but this is just that bit bigger which makes fitting everything/ everyone in easier and it is more comfy.

Touran. Never even failed an mot in 6 years. Not much boot space with all seats up, but would fit a pushchair. More space when only using 6 seats (3 dc). Back seats and boot more spacious than DH’s discovery- I could sit comfortably back there and I’m 5’6”. Decent acceleration and felt safe and reliable.

Keep a folding plastic stool in the car to reach bike on roof rack. Amazon have loads.

5 children here. Volvo XC90. Lots of boot space. Don't forget the travel potty!
