Have posted this in Arts and Crafts too, hope Ok to re post in chat.

Does anyone sell their hand made creations? I'm looking into this and considering Etsy but have no idea how it works or if there's a better way to sell. Any advice for a newbie very gratefully receivedSmile

Etsy is still the best option for handmade, although it takes a lot of work. It doesn't have the traffic of Ebay or Amazon, you really have to drive your own traffic via social media.

Amazon has a handmade section which you have to apply to sell on. I was accepted straight away, but have heard that others have had difficulty. It might be worth a look though!

Ebay is not good for handmade in my experience. People want to pay rock bottom prices.

What do you make? That may change things a bit :)

Craft Fairs and Local Markets were a great start for me. After a summer of that, I moved into a stall in the Indoor Market, and by the next summer I had taken on my own shop.

Good luck with whatever you try :)

Thanks so much for the information. I was just getting into craft fairs before covid and lockdown hit. I'm not great on social media but can learn if it helps. I will look into Amazon as I didn't know they had a section for handmade.
