2nd interview help (NHS)

So I applied for a job a few months ago which I didn’t get. I got good feedback, said I scored highly and came across well but there were a few high scoring applicants so I wasn’t successful.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago and I got a phone call out of the blue to say things haven’t worked out with the person they have the job too, they are readvertising it and they would like me to reapply if still interested. I have reapplied and have another interview next week!
I am just about to start doing some prep but I’m not really sure what expect! Will they ask same Qs as last time? Completely new set of questions? Or will the focus on a area I maybe didn’t answer quite as well? 1 of the people on the panel is the same as last time but the other is someone new. If anyone can give me any pointers I’d appreciate it!
Thanks!

Hi @Facade1983

It’s a band 3 admin role!

Can you remember struggling with any questions. I wonder why it didnt work out with the other person. Be clear about the hours you can work and the training you need. Read through the job and person spec and make a note of what the job will involve. Are you familiar with confidentiality and data rules.

At Band 3 you won't be expected to have expert knowledge but you do need to be very familiar with the job description. I guess the questions will be different from last time, but of a similar type. Be prepared for the old chestnuts - what's your greatest weakness etc. Do a bit of research into the Trust/CCG - looking at their Facebook page should be enough. Be as enthusiastic and friendly as you can! It's a really good sign that they've asked you back - best of luck!

Memorise the NHS's 'core values', and those of the Trust you're interviewing for.

Be able to say how you'd meet them. 'OP, when you see 'Care', what does that mean to you?'... Give us an example of a situation where.....

Know when to say 'I'd do this, then this'; and when to say 'Having attempted that, I would seek advice from my line manager'.

Say 'I understand admin, including band 3, to be vital with the NHS; however, I recognise that admin is a cog, part of a bigger machine, and thus the importance!of team working.

Speak lyrically about the Team Effort the NHS is, while assuring them that, as a Band 3, you'd 'know your place'. 😂

Bear in mind it's all bollox 😂, given that the person who got the job ahead of you, before, 'didn't work out'...

Good luck!
