I would say having nightmares after on crimewatch they said "don't have nightmare"

Winged things getting stuck in my hair - bats, moths, butterflies. Mainly bats tbh.

Getting buried alive.

Being eaten my dogs.

Not sure they’re irrational though.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 29/08/2020 23:42

Ghosts. Specifically ghosts in films, TV, books etc. I'm not scared of 'real' ghosts (so tell me a place is haunted, I'm fine. Make up a ghost story, it freaks me out)

So I have a phobia of fictional creations.

Flatpackback · 29/08/2020 23:44

Glass floors, even if there not high up, sometimes there almost at ground level e.g. over a mosaic on the floor. I just can’t walk on them, my feet won’t move.

crosser62 · 29/08/2020 23:45

It does.
A few incidents as a child and adult with dogs.
I drive pretty much everywhere, tend to not go where dogs are likely to be.
Even doing my front garden when they pass, I feel very anxious until they are out of sight.

crosser62 · 29/08/2020 23:47

I work in a hospital where they have “therapy dogs”.
That’s always my day off when they are in.
To be trapped in a small space with one...dear lord!!!!!

Mixitupalot · 29/08/2020 23:50

Gravity!

I have a serious fear that all of a sudden it won’t exist & we will all fall into space & float around absolutely petrified.

Chameleon2003 · 29/08/2020 23:50

Tsunamis. I live in the West Midlands.

Cahu58 · 29/08/2020 23:58

Big moths not the little dust ones but the giant flappy ones with eyes...

MahMahMahMahCorona · 30/08/2020 00:00

@rosiethehen

I'm frightened of one of my cats and she intimidates me because of her personality and intelligence. When she looks at you it's so intense. I keep thinking she's planning to kill me or something.

I think an asteroid will hit the earth at some point and everything will die. I suppose at least that would deal with the fear of the cat.

Cahu58 · 30/08/2020 00:00

And butterflies ...

NoRoomInBed · 30/08/2020 00:01

Deep water. Like the stuff you cant see to the bottom. Cant mind the name of it.
Balloons
Buttons
And something falling of a lorry like final destination. It happened to my uncle misses him by 2 inches

Rainbowbagel · 30/08/2020 00:12

Caterpillars - fills me with dread thinking about one.

Doingtheboxerbeat · 30/08/2020 01:23

So my question is why has my phobia of spiders gotten worse with age, with real life horrors happening around me to toughen me up?

Tillygetsit · 30/08/2020 02:05

Going into my garden. I've no idea what has triggered it. I hate it and so do the dcs.

Stompythedinosaur · 30/08/2020 02:11

I worry that one day I will deliberately drive my car into oncoming traffic.

Obviously I have no intention of doing this, but the thought of it stays with me.

nosswith · 30/08/2020 08:35

As a child, apple pips.

DipSwimSwoosh · 30/08/2020 08:37

That someone will stealmy children.

TokyoSushi · 30/08/2020 08:48

Frogs, mice and foxes, absolutely terrified of all of them. I feel like they could chase you and jump at you/bite you!

CurlyhairedAssassin · 30/08/2020 09:58

The final destination one reminds me - we were driving to Alicante airport on the motorway to drop the hire car off before coming home a few years back. A HGV just slightly ahead in the adjacent lane had a blowout on one of their tyres. HGV tyres are BIG. In a split second all these large pieces of debris came flying right towards us. It was terrifying but with massive good luck DH was able to just swerve slightly to avoid it. I have no idea how he stayed so calm. I was ducking in my seat and everything and my heart was pounding for about 10 mins after.

I’m always a bit apprehensive approaching any big lorries now. I just prefer to get them behind me as quick as possible.

LadyJaye · 30/08/2020 10:52

Scorpions.

I stay in the West of Scotland.

CatBatCat · 30/08/2020 18:10

Being inside a portaloo and it toppling over door down.

lilfoxfur · 31/08/2020 00:32

Opening my back door at night to let the cat in or out. In case there's a man hiding in the shadows waiting to force his way in when the door opens.

Having my foot out of the blanket in bed. It will be attacked by the boogeyman.

Anything with wings, the sound of flapping makes me feel nauseous.

Will0wtree · 31/08/2020 00:54

Spiders. We have a HUGE one living in some sort of web-tunnel construction at the top of the hall window...you don't actually see him, but occasionally several of his huge pointy legs will poke out of the tunnel like the Edward Scissorhands of the Arachnid world.

The idea of looking out of my kitchen window at night into the back garden and suddenly realising that a shadow is actually someone looking back at me.

When I'm walking over a bridge I sometimes realise that I could jump off it.,..In my mind how I play through how I could climb over the parapet, and then maybe hang onto the edge for a bit before letting go. I DON'T want to jump off a bridge. But every now and again I'm scared the thoughts will win over my rational mind and I'll act it out.

AWiseWomanOnceSaidFuckThisShit · 31/08/2020 01:41

That if I look underwater in a swimming pool with goggles on I'll see a great white shark

newmum2999 · 31/08/2020 01:43

Sun beds!!!!!! 😩😩😩😩

After watching final destination
