Finding myself getting really stiff - just a sign of getting old?!

I’m 35 and over the last 6 months I’ve noticed a noticeable change in how stiff I am when I stand up from sitting. Sitting at either a work desk (at home) or from sitting on the sofa.

I don’t really want to go to the doctors as don’t think there’s anything ‘wrong’. Wondered if there were vitamins I should be exploring?

I’m otherwise healthy, and do home workouts once or twice a week, and go for walks most days. Try to get my 10K steps in everyday.

Would love any thoughts on how I can stop myself from seizing up!

Vitamin d and magnesium may help. Also may be worth checking iron levels.

If you didn't want to ask your gp you can get blood tests on places like medichecks or thriva to look at vitamin levels (cost about £50 I think).

You’re very young for this & really you need to see the dr.

I’m almost 10 years older than you and not had this, I’d agree get it checked.

Is it related to a change in circumstances working from home during lockdown?

I've noticed a lot of pain in my hand, and I thought it was me getting old.. .then I realised it's my computer mouse hand, and I've been using a different, smaller mouse at home throughout lockdown WFH and it's caused the pain.

Your chair, the way you sit, the way your screen is set up - can all cause problems.
