Well done! It is a bit step to go self employed and a very daunting one. With will, determination and good time planning you will have continued success.
I set up my business when my child was 2, at the time, I felt guilty too. However, over time, I realised that it was good that my child got to witness that mummy had to work to make a living and that money does not grow on trees. Also, mummy has the right to ambition and success as daddy. I used to block out work time and quality parent time. During the day, I would work for a few hours and then we would have craft time, or picnic time at the park etc. I would continue my work in the evening once my child was put to bed. (Basically I would work a full day but broken down into 2 parts).
2 decades on, I am still in business, even after 2 recessions and now Covid. My child is now an adult, has a go-getter approach to life and now starting a professional career. I have no regrets in going self employed. We have a very close relationship and we have talked about the times when I had to work, the conclusion we reached was that "if mummy was working, then I must learn to be comfortable in my own company and create entertainment for myself".
Have faith in what you are doing, stay positive...your business is going well, so you have proven you have what it takes to run a business. Make plans....in both your business and for your family and you will be on the path of success. You will be a positive and successful role model to your children and everyone will benefit from the happy and confident you which , no doubt, will spread to all in your family.
