What can I do with all my plums??

Two plum trees in the garden this year and they are absolutely laden! We've had branches break off with the weight of fruit.

No one in the family is that bothered about stewed plums or plum jam/chutney. We will have a few puddings, but I need some new ideas!

I looked at plum wine, but it looks far too complicated and seems to involve a lot of equipment 🙄 any suggestions?? I will give plum vodka or gin a try I think, but need some more ideas.

Thanks!!

There's a plum, chocolate and hazelnut cake on bbc good food that is absolutely delicious. Also look up German plum cake (I can't remember the proper name). If you don't like plum jam, how about plum cheese?

Similar glut here - all stewed then frozen.

I keep a bowl of them stewed in the fridge mixed with seasonal fruit - goes well with strawberries, and have for breakfast or pudding with yogurt.

Friend made plum and gin sorbet.

You clearly don’t live in the vicinity of London - where the way to tell if the plums are ripe is whether the parakeets have eaten them. One day they’re there and the next day they’re.... poooooof gone! As if by magic.
