30 minute tasks to improve my life

I want to make so many changes as l lack a routine and things have gone to pot.
It’s a bit overwhelming so I’m thinking of breaking things down into 30 minute sessions.
Things like 30 minutes of exercise, 30 minutes of cleaning, 30 minutes of self care/pampering, 30 minutes of reading a book.
Does anyone do things like this in a structured way?
I’m hoping it will work for me.

I have a power hour in the morning, 20 minutes of reading. I then do 20 minutes of gentle exercise usually walk or yoga followed by 10minutes of mediation and 10minutes of journaling. I do this first thing before I’ve eaten. It kick starts my day in a productive way.

As someone who needs routine and have to be self starter due to working from home with my own business I need to do things more regimented to otherwise before I know it all I’ve done is drank tea and it’s mid day. I also find doing things in short bursts of time means I’m more likely to stick to it.

I started off with a habit tracker that I created in excel and I would tick it off when I’d done the habits I wanted to implement just so i could stay some what focussed.

Oh I love that idea. Thank you. I too need things to be more regimented. I’ll try this tomorrow morning.

I do 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill before shower in the AM.

Because I'm WFH, I start making lunch at 11:30 and use the cooking time to prep a fresh dinner, as well. Usually 30 minutes.

Rather than a half hour, I try to read a chapter of a book a night, no matter what. It calms my brain and I feel better for reading.

I don’t have a 30 minute schedule but I have trained myself to use “dead time”. So when there is an ad break in the soaps I will go and spray and wipe the bathroom. While the kettle boils I empty the dishwasher. While my tea is brewing I make my lunch and feed the dog and freshen his water bowl. On my evening dog walk I call friends to catch up with them. In the hour after dinner I clean the kitchen, bring in the washing and hoover and mop the downstairs floors. That’s my dedicated time for those things. If I don’t do them then, they don’t get done. And before I decided to have a dedicated hour they weren’t getting done and it all built up all the time which I hated. Now it’s done every day without me dreading it. I’ve found using dead time means I get a lot more done than before. I’m still working on finding a convenient slot to fit in some morning exercise.
