What exercises at home?

I haven't exercised since early March. I decided to get into HIIT as I'd really enjoyed this before and it worked well when I was going to classes.

I signed up to a couple of apps which are great for weight training exercises but I really struggle with their cardio/HIIT videos. The instructors go way too fast and I need someone guiding me through the exercises to make sure I'm doing them properly otherwise I just flail around like a pair of tights in a high wind.

So I decided to fuck the videos on the head and just do my own routine but I'm so bored of star jumps, burpees, lunges, and jogging on the spot.

What other kinds of exercises could I integrate into my HIIT routine that are easy because I have no technique but will get my heart going because I'm desperately unfit?!

Thanks so much Grin

skipping?

Have you tried the les Mills on demand app? You get a free trial and all the workouts have instructional videos for a lot of the moves, and different levels to help you get into it.

I do the Leslie Sansone walk exercise. Really easy to follow and you can increase time and intensity as it suits you.

fitnessblender.com

Really lovely, down to earth couple who explain everything well

Second skipping. You can get a cheap rope and skipping is a fantastic workout and really versatile, you can switch it up as much as you like

I second fitness blender, I use their videos all the time! Other good moves to incorporate are lunges, and squats. Check your technique though as you can hurt your knees. If you're doing a squat keep your chest open, knees shouldn't go past your ankles and it should feel like you're sitting down (so bum out).

Try the Sweat app. You do the reps at your own pace and go to the next move once you’ve completed them rather than following along with an instructor. I think it comes with a 7 day free trial if I remember correctly.
