Last year, I started getting dry eyes. I use eye drops and heat masks, but the problem seems to be worsening. Any tips?

Potassium usually helps me, via bananas on toastwith Nutella

Have you had it checked out by anyone? Do you mean dry eye syndrome? I tried the usual eye drops from the chemist to no avail. I get some relief by using an ointment called vit-a-pos on a night. The eye hospital also prescribed me some different drops which help a little, but I had to persevere going back and explaining that I had tried all the ones that are mostly prescribed. It's still not great though.

Tips I am trying include: reduce screen time (!); blink more; do eye exercises.

It’s pretty common, but you need to get an optometrist to look at your eyes and rule out other (treatable) Associated conditions - like blepharitis for example.

I use an optimist spray you can get on amazon and spray on closed eyes. I once had a blocked duct and found that a heat pack on my eyes provided pretty much immediate relief. I try and do that every few weeks to prevent it happening again.

I had dry eyes for a few months and when I had it checked out it was actually allergies - the optometrist recommended antihistamine eye drops

I use Xailin drops at night, they are much better than the Boots own ones. Also, my optician said that my inhaler could be making them worse.

I have had dry eyes for years and use Carbomer eye gel Various brands but that is the active ingredient which I find helpful
