Asbestos in Buildings survey

We are buying a house and the building survey came back with asbestos noted in one area definitely and potentially two others. Does anyone have any experience of this? House is 1950's build but in the style of 1930s (which is what we had thought it was)
Really wanted to be complete in time for January for primary school application for my Son :( not sure it will quite work out now. Our house sale is also near completing so all a bit stressful!

Loads of houses have asbestos in then. As long as it’s in good condition then I think it’s ok. You could always get another survey to know for definite. You can have it removed.

My other half owns an asbestos removal business, if you let me know what area you live in I could ask him if he would be able to provide some advice.

We had an asbestos survey done on the 1950s house we are selling. The water tank in the loft (no longer used) is made from asbestos and is in excellent, undamaged condition, and is therefore safe. It would cause more issues to remove it, especially as it was put in before they completed the ceilings and it wouldn't fit through the loft hatch.

We have; asbestos cold water tank, asbestos air vent pipe, asbestos artex on the ceilings.
As pp said, it's best to leave it, if it's in good condition.
We had a leak in the roof which made the plaster come off the ceiling and have left it peeling at the moment. We intend to get the ceilings overboarded rather than skimmed.

I once walked past a house where the builders had removed an asbestos water tank and sawn it in half. Hmm

We found asbestos in the garage and asbestos in the artex ceilings (that weird bumpy plaster), discovered during survey. We negotiated the cost of removing it off the house price (they'd gazumped us so we didn't feel too bad about that). Before we moved in they boxed off the stuff in the garage, and stripped all the ceilings. The latter was the most dangerous as it produced a lot of asbestos dust, but needed doing because the ceilings were hideous. They came with full asbestos PPE and terrified the neighbours (who had been merrily sanding their own artex ceilings).
