If you have a lay-z-spa . . . . .

. . . how do you stop water collecting on the lid when it rains?

It doesn't seem to matter how tight I fasten the lid a little puddle appears as soon as it starts raining which just gets bigger and bigger. At the moment I'm brushing the water off frequently but I'm wondering what's going to happen when we are away for a week. I can see that it puts lots of strain on the clips.

I tried putting a beach ball in the middle to make it a bit more dome-shaped in the hope that the rain would then run off but it doesn't seem to have made a huge difference.

Any ideas?

Not got a suggestion for what you do for a week, though we frequently leave ours a few days and if it rains it sits there but hasn't caused any problems. However instead of brushing it off we press the bubbles button and it lifts the lid from inside and then the water just pours off the lid. Much easier!

Ah, I hadn't thought of that! Good tip, thanks. Actually could turn them on when on holiday as it's got a wifi feature and there's an option on the app to turn on the bubbles.

If I'm going to be away for a bit I overfill it a bit then put a beach ball under the lid. That seems to keep the water off.

I have an Intex PureSpa and it comes with an inflatable inner lid which sits right on the water and keeps the outer cover up and
level. Also very good for keeping the heat in.
You could try to buy one, or experiment with a large inflatable ring

Thanks all. Good tips. I will experiment a bit with overfilling and another inflatable I found in the garage.

"LionLily" it has an inflatable lid but which is great for keeping the heat in as you say but it doesn't sit high enough to stop the dip where the water collects which seems to be where the join is between the edge of the inflatable part and the skirt IYSWIM. I think this new inflatable I found underneath the lid might work though - fingers crossed.
