I've ordered a Wren kitchen

Evening all

I've saved for a kitchen, seen the one I love in Wren, ordered it, getting my own fitters.

Can I please ask for your experiences
With Wren.

Appreciate I should have asked this a few
Weeks ago before I committed Grin

All good. Kitchen has been in for six months and I'm still very happy. Sure it was a bit more expensive than other suppliers but I have what I want and it fits well. Enjoy your new kitchen when it is in.

We've just had one from wren. The kitchen itself is lovely. Arrived when they said it would. I'd buy another if and when I eventually change it, hopefully not for a very long time as they aren't cheap.

Fitters are slow and not very reliable (but do a good job when they're there), that won't be a problem with your own I guess. Though I think they're all independent fitters that have a contract with wren.

Ours is a Wren, Pacrylic gloss duck egg blue with driftwood worktops. It’s been in 4 years now.
Well made and sturdy cabinets, not sure I’d ever go for gloss again, they show EVERY finger mark.
We sourced our own black glass sink and hob, wren’s prices were 3x what we paid, their oven and microwave were reasonable though and they made me an extra wide door panel to go over the washer.
DH installed it, we just paid a local carpenter to fit the worktop and the fitting in front of the washer. We’ve got a ton of extra kick boards left over, probably enough to replace them all!

Aww great then. Thank you for the
Comments.

It's actually come on cheaper than I thought it would be.
They had a sale on last month.

Just had mine installed. Used their filters as well. 2 doors were scratched when it arrived but they replaced them no problem and within 2 days. I love my new kitchen😀

We had one fitted in 2016- it was exactly as I wanted and good quality- we had our own carpenter fit it though as the feedback on their own fitters isn’t great.

Urghh tell me about it!! Ours isn't Wren, but our base units are aubergine with a gloss finish (I know, sounds weird, but looks great), I have to clean them off at least twice a day, as I hate seeing the finger marks.

Cream wall units are gloss, but show nothing. Gloss finish is nice, but god it's work if you like them looking good all the time.

GenderApostate19 · 17/08/2020 08:21

Yep. I use laminate floor spray on mine or occasionally, sugar soap when Dgs has been round with mucky little fingers.
My floor is high gloss as well 😱 Didn’t anticipate a new Grandchild.

I had a Wren kitchen fitted 4 years ago. The designer came to the house, was really helpful, and didn’t even moan when I changed the original spec completely and he had to start again!
The fitting was done on schedule, and the kitchen still looks lovely 4 years down the line. I’m v pleased with the layout, and wouldn’t change a thing.
Wren are nationwide - I think the standard of design and fit probably varies depending on how good your local branch is. I know they’ve had a pasting on MN, but my experience was fine.

We stayed in a holiday cottage with a Wren kitchen. It looked as good as new, but it had been in for a few years. It was so lovely that we came home and put our house on the market to move somewhere with a bigger kitchen!!

lookatmememe · 17/08/2020 08:26

Nice to see the pr peeps at wren are keeping busy! Shame the after sales peeps aren't quite so diligent.

Flamingolingo · 17/08/2020 08:27

We had a wren kitchen in our old house - from the Linda Barker range (since discontinued). It was a great kitchen, I really loved it. Sadly they were miles more expensive than DIY when we did this kitchen and they didn’t have what I wanted (painted wooden shaker), but would definitely consider them when buying a kitchen.

wohmum · 17/08/2020 08:28

We’ve got a lovely wren kitchen, used our own fitters.. A couple of small issues on delivery, resolved the next day. Great customer service

billyt · 17/08/2020 10:40

lookoutmememe,

Would you be happier if every poster had a whinge etc about Wren? Why assume that a positive post can only be by someone promoting a company? Just for once don't be so bloody cynical.

I had a Wren kitchen fitted in 2017. More than happy with our choice of units and love the kitchen. Glad OP is using her own fitters as the ones Wren used are crap! They are all self-employed and I don't think Wren give a shit what their work is like.

They are more than happy to send out replacement bits but I would not agree that their after-care service is great. It's shit!

Theneverendingcleaningcycle · 17/08/2020 10:45

Had one fitted last year it was completed xmas eve. I love it. It's my favourite room in the house. Also the fitters were brilliant! I can't fault the service at all.

nancybotwinbloom · 17/08/2020 12:21

I can't wait to get it fitted now Grin
