I have just had my hair cut short and I love it. So I went and had another hole put in my ears. So I now have two in each ear. Again which I love.
I was a bit worried about this as I am 44. Not sure that’s the sort of thing a 44 year old women should do but I love it. Can’t wait till I can get some new ones to put in.

Just out of interest. How many holes do u have in each ear. I really want to get a third. But do u have a third in both or in just one.

I am almost 30. In my left ear I have 4 piercings in my lobe, in my right I have 3 in my lobe, a helix and a tragus.

One in the left. Three in the right - two lobe and one helix. Trying to pluck up the courage to get a daith. I'm 48 and couldn't care less whether I'm too old!

In my fifties, I have 5 in the right ear and 4 in the left. (Going from top of ears to lobes). I really don't care about clothes or fashion but for some reason I love my ear piercings very much indeed.

4 helix piercings in one ear, the other ear I’ve got a tragus, anti tragus and a scaffold.

I am 43 got 3 holes in my left ear and one in my right. Thought l was soooo cool when l had the 2nd and 3rd holes!! Only wear a matching pair these days though!

Early 40s 8 in one, 4 in other. I hardly wear earrings anymore but when I do usually just top and middle of ear not lobe.

I have 3 in each ear lobe and 2 cartilage piercings in my left ear.
I only wear studs in my top 2. In the bottom one I used to wear huge hoops, slightly smaller as they went up, so biggest hoop on the bottom and slightly smaller as they went up. Now I wear 3 pairs of studs, bigger pair in the bottom one, smaller pairs in the other 2, same style, 1 pair of each colour gold- yellow, white and rose. I love them.

Currently considering a conch piercing and I'm 46.

I have three in each. Had the third set done last year. Also had the top cartilage bit done but it got caught after about 6 months and I couldn’t stand the re-heal process so I took it out. It healed up within about a week!

I do fancy more but not sure where yet.

I'm 47 - 3 lower and 1 helix in right and 5 in the lower left. Had them all done between 12 and 14 years old mind you (nobody cared about any sort of parental permission then ). Love them all but generally wear just 2 in the right and three in the left.

I originally had 5 in each lobe, but let 4&5 close up about 10 years ago when I was 26 (pierced them myself when I was 15 so weren't the best!). I still have 3 holes in each lobe, but rarely wear earrings in the 3rd hole. I normally wear the same style in different sizes.

My domestic science (I'm that old) teacher put me off by telling us all how if they hit the wrong bit of cartilage we would suffer cauliflower ears forever. She's also the reason I still don't lean back on headrests. Lice.

Meh, I'm 39 and seeing my piercer on Monday! I have four in one ear and five in the other, including both daiths. I'm getting him to look at my right ear, and rebalance the dreadful positioning - it will likely involve removing some and piercing some new bits!

i have 3 piercings in my ears and my nose has been pierced twice, but i haven't bothered wearing earrings for years. Its not an age thing (am in my 50s) just too much faff.

I have two lobe piercings in each ear.

I got the first ones done at 15, and the second ones five years ago at the advanced age of 51 I'm considering getting a third hole done in one ear only.

I got a rook piercing a couple of years ago but it refused to heal so had to go, unfortunately.

I used to have 3 in each ear but I lost about an earring per day so was spending a fortune on jewellry and eventually just stopped wearning earrings all together. I liked having 3 in each ear.

I have 2 in the lobes of each ear, and one ear only, has 2 at the top (can't remember the piercing name!), my tragus (flappy bit that covers ear hole), and conch (inside the ear), i love them.

If you are going for a 3rd in the lobe I would have both (I'm not sure why ha!), but if you are looking at a more unusual piercing, like the conch, tragus, daith etc go for 1 first (easier to heal/not lie on), and you can always add more afterwards
