Do the police keep complaints anon?

My DH has today contacted the police regarding some verbal/emotional child abuse and suspected physical abuse from our neighbours house to the police, but after reading the report he submitted it's really obvious that the complaint comes from our house.

TBH I'm worried, the neighbour is pure scum - violent, loud, aggressive and I think he wouldn't think twice about storming round hear and starting trouble.

Will the police show the neighbours the report or go into the detail my DH gave them?

Yes they do. He can always call back though and ask them to make sure. They're meant to. He also didn't have to give his name if he didn't want to.

Ok thanks, that's reassuring. Some of the finer details he gave would reveal the complaint came from us as we have a certain view of the house. DH doesnt seem to care but I'm panicking.

I work in the control room. I know forces differ but our ethos is just how much more crime would/could that create if we revealed details. You sound anxious-honestly I would just ring 101 and ask them. Put your mind at rest.

Thanks, DH spoke to the police and they said with this type of complaint they wont tell them because of data protection. I doubt the revealing details will be discussed with them just because they minor parts of the issue (I'm purposefully trying not to reveal too much!).

Yea I'm anxious, this guy is a beast and his wife ain't much better. But weve had months of hearing shit things come from that house (others on the street have called the police and social services are involved) and the past few days have reached peak!
