Help with dieting?

I am desperate to lose weight, and start eating healthier for myself and my children. I don't own my own scales because I can't stand seeing my own weight, so I don't regularly weigh myself but the last time I was weighed I was 8 and a half stone. I am 4'11 so very close to being overweight according to BMI which is obviously not good at all. I don't have a good diet, my problem is that once I start eating I feel like I can't stop and end up eating huge amounts in a short amount of time. I also have a sweet tooth - I can't resist chocolate and I drink endless cans of zero sugar cola instead of drinking water. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old who I do feed a balanced diet too but the 4 year old especially is obviously picking up on my very bad habits. Has anybody got any idea on how to change? (I know I need to change I just honestly don't know where to begin).

I've started the Joe Wicks 90 day plan. I really like it. I like it because it really values exercise (30 minutes 5 times a week in your own living room) but is easy enough to do - cycle 1 (30 days) is just you and your body weight, no equipment needed.

The recipes are tailored to you in terms of quantities and I just triple them for DH and the kids (aged 4 and 1) - I add a little bit of pasta or garlic bread, rice for the kids to make it a bit more balanced.

The thing I have found best about it is that it has really satisfied my appetite, I'm not craving sugar like I used to.

I'm 60 days in and have lost 5kgs and 13 inches.
