Do you pack a hospital bag?

My next door neighbour went into panic mode tonight as I have a rare allergy which only flares up every seven years or so and isn't serious.

Of course he panicked and phoned paramedics.

Got me thinking about a hospital bag as I had a hard time explaining to the paramedics what it was and that it would pass within an hour.

So aside from charger phone keys what else would you pack? Dressing gown, socks, cotton wool, face cleaner, possibly diary pen mascara lip balm?

I'm going to keep a hospital bag packed from now on

Ear plugs, forgot that

If I needed immediate treatment, my last considerations would be diary, mascara and lip balm!
I would probably do knickers, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, hairbrush, charger, phone, change of clothes, pjs. Book/s if I had time.

I don't have one packed but if I did:

PJs
Undies
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Hair brush
Deodorant
Charger
Socks
Slippers?

I always have a hospital bag packed and in a named cupboard. Close contacts with keys know where the bag is.

A few years ago had some unplanned hospital admissions where I had nothing with me bar the contents of my handbag!

Without looking... mine contains

Charger with long flex (plugs are always further away than you hope!)
Book
Crossword book
Pens
Lip balm
Overnight toiletries, sample sizes saved from beauty calendars etc
Two hospital suitable nighties/underwear/flip flops for shower
Pashmina
Small notebook with contact names, numbers etc
Medication

I think it’s a great idea

Forgot knickers. I do think it's worthwhile keeping a bag because you never know what's going to happen.

I mean specifically a bag set aside if ever needed. Chocolate?

That sounds like a plan - I'd forgotten keys, yes to that as well. Since I've had a few unexpected admissions last couple of years I'd like to keep a grab bag packed, just essentials.

Hopefully to never be used but useful if necessary.

I have a unisex toiletry bag with sample sized shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes paste etc and a tiny hold up towel from mountson warehouse. This is ready to go and can be grabbed if anyone needs to go in. I would add pjs and underwear if it was an emergency plus a charger, probably lounge clothes, a book and a power bank too if more planned.
