Sorry - does anyone know what this bush is called? It’s glorious, but we don’t know what it is and so can’t buy another!

I think it's a lavatera. If it is, you don't need to buy another, just stuff some cuttings in and they will take root.

Yes it's a lavatera. Lovely things and grow well in the shade.

Lovely, thank you 😊

Um... how do I take cuttings, please?

Tbh it looks like it needs a good drink, it's going a bit brown.
I have grown some annual lavatera this year, which is very pretty. A pic of it - looks a bit pinker than normal because it's partially under the sun shade.

No idea. I was expecting a light hearted joke and a cartoon/drawing of a different kind of bush!

Duly noted and watered.

I got an app recently that IDs plants (PictureThis - it’s free, though you can pay for more functionality, and be careful not to sign up to pay by mistake!). It’s been quite satisfying putting names to some shrubs I’ve seen around the place. The DC think it’s magic Smile

That sounds fabulous!

To start some new plants, just cut off a few twigs, thick enough to not go floppy, but still quite young, not woody enough to snap. Remove any big leaves and push them into a pot of compost.
Keep them moist and in the shade. I generally put 6 in a 6 inch pot and expect half of them to make roots. When they ate making lots of new growth you can plant them out, or pot them up individually.
It is very satisfying to start your own plants.
Good luck
