Left medication behind

DP and I are away on a short break. Arrived yesterday and leaving on Friday. I realised yesterday when I arrived that I had left my medication at home - I'm on Quetiapine for bipolar disorder (a relatively low dose). DP asked if I would be okay and I stupidly said I think so.
Usually, when I get my medication it takes 3 days from requesting to actually picking it up from the pharmacy. However, last night I slept badly and tonight feels even worse - it just feels like my head is spinning. Is there anything I can do? I've never forgotten it before so have never been in this situation. TIA

If you can see a doctor at local A&E they should be able to dispense you a couple of doses to tide you over until you are back at home. It's not an uncommon drug, they'll have some kicking around somewhere.

111 will be able to advise you on this. There will be a way to get a few days worth till you can get yours. Don’t leave it though- it’s not a good idea to suddenly stop those kind of meds.

Just stress to them that you are feeling really disconcerted and unable to sleep. They might ask you to wait to speak to a psychiatrist, and I'm not sure how things stand if you have already missed a dosage or two, but I have acquaintances who have been in similar situations with regard to psychiatric medicines and A&E have managed to sort them out with an emergency prescription.

I have done this also! Go to any pharmacy, ask to speak to the pharmacist who will be able to help you. In my case they arranged for me to speak to a local GP who was able to access my records and prescribe a few days worth.
