Christmas presents for 11 and 9 year old boys

I know it’s early but usually by now I’ve pretty much sorted my Christmas shopping, but this year I just don’t have a clue what to get either of them! They’re both quite grown up for their ages, they both like gaming and normally have a main present between them - PS4 last year and Xbox the year before. They have the games they need and there’s lots they have that they don’t use. They’ve recently sold loads of games they don’t use anymore as they pretty much just play Fortnite. They have a second hand Switch each but rarely play them and don’t need more games for those either. They will both have some v-bucks but that’s as much as I can think of! They’ll have some clothes but they won’t see that as an exciting present. Often we buy a family trip to the theatre but the current Covid issues put me off that idea. We had Harry Potter studio tours trip cancelled as well as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. So much is cancelled that it’s tricky thinking of experiences. We’re down in Cornwall too so not close to any large cities where most experiences are. It’s such a first world problem but I think they really have everything they want/need! We have a massive extended family (my husband and I are both from divorced parents who remarried so four sets of grandparents and loads of aunts and uncles hi all like to spoil them!) They had a tv for their bedroom each with birthday money this year, they have an echo dot each (they use those loads). They have a phone each (secondhand again). They read lots but have loads of books. The only thing they want is a puppy but my husband has vetoed that! My eldest is no longer a believer but my youngest still is and I expect it will be the last year for him so I really want it to be special. Help!

The kids (well actually mostly me!) are hoping for a kitten for Christmas so that will be the main present!! Other possibilities are also nintendo switch, fancy trainers, magazine subscription, kindles, Mario lego, animal adoption, board games - ticket to ride and game of life, branded clothing, tickets for days out, money, robux. My 10 year old is very hard to buy for!

@Ishihtzuknot God they’re going to sound so spoilt now (and they are, but because of massive family rather than me buying loads) they have a telescope (used only occasionally) a microscope (used when my youngest had nits!), laser guns (quite popular when friends come round) and DVD players for the car (but they’re only allowed to use them on really long car journeys) They had a trampoline but it was damaged last winter, they’ve spoken about getting a new one but my husband has said no as they didn’t use it enough when they had one! We do get outdoors a lot, mainly to the beach in ‘normal times’ but hiding a bit from tourists at the moment! We’ve got fantastic walks around us and my family have a farm so we go there often too, they just have all of the beach/outdoors kit they need too. They did ask for a quad for the farm but they’re £1000s so that won’t be happening plus if it’s kept at the farm there would be lots of younger cousins using it and I’d worry it would get broken quickly. The main bit of kit that they really use a lot outside when exploring is their walkie talkies - not kids ones but adults (but weren’t that expensive on Amazon). Plus they love their flint and steel and setting fire to pretty much anything! Compass and other survival skills stuff has been popular too, they e been camping in the garden for about two weeks!

@VenusClapTrap I’ve looked at the game - it looks good but it’s really expensive for a board game- is it worth it or dud you find it at a more reasonable price than on Amazon? We play quite a few board games in the winter, love Cluedo, Dobble, 5 Second Rule, Linkee (my favourite as I always win!) They got Fortnite monopoly last year and that wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on!

I think it’s worth it, but yes it is expensive. I think we bought it from a specialist board game company - it was dh’s idea because he’s a board game nerd. It’s a lot more involved than old fashioned games like Cluedo (not that there’s anything wrong with Cluedo!). The dc love the fact that it’s run through an app with spooky music and narrator! And the little monster figures appeal to them.

We also like a game called Wingspan, that dd got for her birthday last month. That one is so complicated it still makes my brain hurt though!

Bikes?
Getting a Summerhouse for the garden and kitting it out as a boys tween/teen den with electric & boy stuff? Could get pricey but a good investment.
Membership to days out/merlin pass etc?
Family gift of projector 📽 for outdoor/indoor movie nights
Membership monthly boxes?
