Don't they??

I'm just clearing out dd2's room with her after replacing the cabin bed with a bed & wardrobe & HOLY SHIT!!

The amount of stuff she wants to keep is boggling Confused. & it's not even like she'll look at most of it until the next time we do this ffs. It's mostly going back in the storage boxes it was in, in the first place!

One of mine is like that, the other is utterly ruthless and I end up encouraging him to keep more!

I used to bag up stuff when my daughter wasn't around and put it in the garage. If she hadn't missed it in a year then it went to the chazzer. Obviously if she asked for something we ”found” it but the majority went.

yy.
we have a really small house, and I could do with any extra space I can get. I have an entire large wooden toybox full of play food, toy pots and pans etc of the kind that preschoolers love that my NINE year old will not let go. It's not been touched during lockdown. It never will be. I think I might have to go with a compromise position that it goes in the loft , and when she fancies getting it out (ie never) I'll fetch it for her.

Delurking I'd prefer a little more ruthlessness!

She's just put squinkies back in a box...I can't remember the last time they came out!
