Dead Fox in garden

Anyone know what to do with it?

My local council won't collect as on private property.

Can it be burnt or put in the bin?

Yes, double bag and put in bin.

That’s very strange. LAs are supposed to remove them for free, even from private property. I’d try checking their website, and potentially phoning again. If you do have to deal with it yourself; double bag and use zip ties then put into your green/brown bin.

Wear PPE, as it may have mange.

Shizzlestix · 30/07/2020 13:15

Don’t put plastic bags into your green bin unless they’re biodegradable. Can you scoop it with a spade and pop straight into the green bin?

Finfintytint · 30/07/2020 13:17

Our local pest control man took a dead animal away for £20.

sergeilavrov · 30/07/2020 13:22

Please, for your own sanity, do not put the Fox into a bin without the bags. You will need a new bin, and potentially a week away to recover from the smell. Not much worse than a rotting corpse in an accessible box sitting in the sun. As sad as it is for recycling purposes, lots of things are attracted to dead bodies and you don’t want to be dealing with it.

Hopefully the council will sort it (as they should).

Shizzlestix · 30/07/2020 13:24

Id leave until the morning of collection so it doesn’t wreck your bin!

I hope it's not Emilia? I like her.

BigusBumus · 30/07/2020 13:42

Call a local pest control man. He'll come and get it for you like a PP has said. Most likely he'll sling it in a hedge somewhere rural for the local Kites or corvids to eat.

SepticTankYank · 30/07/2020 14:14

We had a dead hedgehog. Not quite the same but I double bagged it and put it in the bin... ummed and arred whether it's recycling or general waste. Bin men are here tomorrow thank god.

When is bin day?

bodgeitandscarper · 30/07/2020 14:20

I don't think a dead fox is recyclable, Grin. Id put it in a bag and tben general waste, it's where chicken carcasses etc go.

Shizzlestix · 30/07/2020 15:13

I must find the other dead fox in my recycling bin-I’m sure it was on here!
