Static Caravan owners!

So we are very close to buying a pre owned static on a very popular site. Going to stay there till September!
It comes with all the inventory but I want to buy new bed linen for example - where do you get sheets for the small single beds?
What little things do you have in your static that make it extra nice?
We always take board games and DVDs for wet weather, any other ideas?
I can see me turning into one of those owners that have a full on garden with picket fence in front of the plot!

Buying a static was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my family. We have unlimited access (Covid and school aside) to our home from home, literally a 2 min walk over the sand dunes to a beautiful beach. It’s worth every penny!

Best buys for me have been space saving kitchen things (Joseph Joseph are great for this), Wi-Fi, vacuum seal bags for bedding when you winterise, lots of outdoor stuff like scooters, swingball, frisbee and indoor stuff like books, craft projects and games. I recommend the games by the creators of Exploding Kittens, for much hilarity. A robovac means I’m not constantly sweeping up sand and grass, and I recommend keeping a stock of washing up liquid/dishwasher tabs, loo rolls, soap, bin bags, kitchen roll, squash, tea, coffee, toiletries and a first aid kit/calpol/painkillers etc.

We don’t have a washing machine in our van so I rotate 3 sets of towels, shower mats and bed sheets ie I take one set home to wash, leaving 2 sets in van - this is in case I forget to bring them back, or we stay longer.

I hope you love your van as much as we do. It’s honestly saved my sanity having the freedom to escape the daily grind and just relax...my DC wish we could live there permanently!

We have taps outside that can drain down the system, we do this in February till about April just in case we have a frost
We also take the shower apart and put antifreeze down the loo
Apparently frost / ice can split the loo bowl apart.
We are 50 mins away and are very lucky that our plumber from home will come and fix things.
We have a ten month season as well
